Clinical Applications (PM_09)
The course aims to understand a variety of methodologies and approaches used in the evaluation of laboratory and clinical data in personalized medicine. The development of critical thinking skills to evaluate literature, methodologies and results in the context of personalized medicine is prioritized. Also, emphasis is placed on the analysis and synthesis of laboratory and clinical findings to draw practical conclusions for the diagnostic and therapeutic management of the patient in the context of personalized medicine. The course is the link between basic sciences and clinical medicine and on the one hand studies the pathogenesis of various diseases at the patho-anatomical and molecular level and on the other hand refers to the current applications of personalized medicine in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of a wide range of diseases. Postgraduate students after completing the course will be able to:
• Understand the pathogenic mechanisms of diseases of various systems
• Familiarize themselves with the methodology applied in personalized medicine
• Know the possibilities and limitations of personalized medicine
• Have documented knowledge and cognitive skills necessary for the practice of personalized medicine.
